Leevy is a five-piece band from the Múscraí Gaeltacht in West Cork, Ireland. The band is led by singer songwriter Amhlaoibh McSweeney.
Leevy’s latest release, Very Sad Lives is a six track EP that builds on the previous releases of the group, showcasing a strong storytelling capability in the lyrics (in keeping with the Irish tradition) supported by a catchy and complex set of melodies and compositions that celebrate the band’s roots in traditional music, punk and country.
